Max Carlino, a PhD student in the Combined Biological and Biomedical Sciences program, graduated from the Ohio State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Chemistry, and earned an M.S. in Infectious Disease and Immunology at Loyola University Chicago in 2019. He then worked as a Research Associate toward the development of large animal cancer models as a researcher at the University of Illinois Chicago and was appointed as the Director of Data Management with Sus Clinicals, Inc. Max joined the Krause lab as a Research Associate in May of 2021 with an interest in elucidating relationships between transcriptomic regulation and hematopoietic potential, and as a Graduate Student in 2023 to define molecular pathways necessary for organogenesis of parathyroids and other endocrine organs.
